This fast-paced show brought numerous 1940s and Renaissance hairstyles that I thoroughly enjoyed looking after over the course of this summer production.
This show was an incredible opportunity to practice and recreate a maltitude of waves, victory rolls, curls and updos.
I had the greatest pleasure to care for the female ensamble of Kiss Me, Kate. They wore a variety of hairstyles that had to be swapped accordingly to the show's timeline in the 40' and the Renaissance times.
Loads of hats had to be securely pinned.
Renaissance styles comprised of braiding, long wave and curl patterns and cages to which switches were attached.
Boys mainly wore wigs in their Renaissance era. They specifically designed to fit actors' natural hair texture and colour.
