Many scenes required quite a significant blood spill: sometimes "live", sometimes in THE pre-applied form of various fake blood types and textures as well as pre-made bondo pieces. I created loads of small probondo transfers that could be quickly applied while on set and according to cast and crew posed as very believable acne, cuts and scabs.
Over the course of the story as itchy additction progresses, all of the initial scratches gratually start to transform into open wounds. Thus, I also had to keep an eye on the continuity. I worked closely with PD and Script Supervisor to make sure every design was chronologically correct.
Because the lead actor Kyle Malan (playing Norbert, the guy that itches) had ridiculously good skin, my role was unfortunately to 'ruin' it a bit. In the film, he appears as he's been seriously undersleeping for some time now, quite greasy, quite dirty and as if his face has not seen the sun in a while.

The creation that I am most proud of is an edible scab that was picked at and eaten in one of the scenes by Norbert's dad. Sadly, it did not make into the final cut [SEE BELOW].
