STORY
William is a WW2 survivor, silently battling the flashbacks of the crash that left him seriously injured after one of the missions he flew as a pilot during the war. There is also Charlie with whom William decided to finally meet again.
William is a WW2 survivor, silently battling the flashbacks of the crash that left him seriously injured after one of the missions he flew as a pilot during the war. There is also Charlie with whom William decided to finally meet again.
As a result of the accident, William sustains deep gashes from his plane's cockpit, a sharpnel stuck in his head and 2nd and 3rd degree burns.
Along with being responsible for the period HMUA Design for the film, I worked closely with the prosthetic designer Bethany Smith who sculpted and moulded a veriety of prosthetics. As I was the only HMUA present on set I later applied the chosen pieces together with cap plastic sheets and directly applied products to obtain the burnt skin effect.
