I was the only HMUA on the show, meaning I had to merge the responsibilities of a WHAM Assistant and a Supervisor. I managed the WHAM budget of the show and was responsible for sourcing all the makeup and hair products for the cast and answering any enquiries they had. I designed and made flower pins for the Ladies in Waiting (3 girls accompanying the Queen) and the flower crown for Queen Philippa, played by Bernadine Pritchett for whom I did eye makeup everyday before the show (below).
Male grooming was done by the actors themselves, after I explained to them the designer's ideas behind each of them and in some cases, did a little demonstration. 6 burghers wore fake dirt on their faces which they applied alone with the use of premade dirtbags I delivered to their dressing rooms.
