RUTH

Ruth is a biblical story that tells of the life of King Davids great grandmother. After fleeing famine Naomi and her family settle down in Moab. However, the deaths of Naomi’s husband and sons, make her think of returning to her homeland of Judah. Ruth, her daughter in law, goes with her and eventually gets accepted by the Jews through her hard work. She impresses Naomi’s cousin Boaz a respected land owner, who marries her. 21 - 23 April 2023, Royal Academy of Music

Pegasus Opera Company

Along with The Six of Calais, Ruth was part of the double bill opera I supervised and assisted on for Pegasus Opera Company in April 2023. I led the budget and subsequently sourced the materials and a wig which I styled and applied on for the main actress Alison Buchanan, playing Ruth. Naomi (Angela Caesar) had her own wig which I refreshed before every show. I assisted with a quick change (about 30s) and remained the only WHAM Assistant throughout each performance.
