Over 80 wigs, hair pieces and facials were used in each performance of SATSE. Due to the story happening in 3 different time periods (spanning from 60s' until the modern day), performers had to undergo lots of quick changes. It was also a great learning experience to get to dress so many various hairstyles and work on so many hair types everyday.

Just after SATSE transfered from Crucible Theatre in Sheffield to the National Theatre, a few wigs needed minor repairations and adjustements. Below, I was knotting more hair into the hairline for one of the 70s' wigs.
This Olivier-winning musical wil be available to watch again from February 2024 at the Gillian Lynne Theatre, London.
